Sooo, this might be the most restless guy I've ever dealt with. This tech support "supervisor" called me back after I had called his scammer center number over 25 times in a row and messed with various scam operators.

Backstory: I called into this fake Windows tech support scammer line and talked with a few of the "tech support specialists" regarding problems with my computer. There is nothing wrong with my computer, but that's not what these scammers would have you believe. The first operator told me to open up msconfig (system configuration for Windows) and go to the services tab, which shows current running and stopped system services. He proceeded to tell me the "stopped" services in this tab were stopped and problematic because hackers had put a virus on my computer (absolute BS- as it is completely normal for some services to be stopped and others to be running). This was a new one for me, as usually they tell you to open up the Event Viewer (run eventvwr) and tell you that the error messages and error logs (completely normal for an operating system also) are being sent to their servers as warning messages from a virus.
The other operators I talked to from this number used the event viewer ruse as explanation for some made up virus on my computer. The end goal of course being to steal my money and charge me for absolutely unnecessary "tech support" help. They do this by telling you to go to Ammyy.com, teamviewer.com, or other sites, to download remote control software which they can then use to show you these "errors". Once they convince you that your computer is "infected", they will take you to a website for you to enter your credit card information in and pay them ridiculous amounts of money for their "help". Screw these guys. Their number went down, but I will find them again.
