"Stayin' Alive" is a song by the pop group Bee Gees from the Saturday Night Fever motion picture soundtrack.
The song was written by the Bee Gees (Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb) and produced by the Bee Gees, Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson. It was released on 13 December 1977, as the second single from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
It is one of their signature songs.
Cover versions
In 1979 Paul Weston and Jo Stafford released a cover of the song as Jonathan and Darlene Edwards. It was backed with "I Am Woman".
In 1980, the American Singer and Ukulele player Tiny Tim (musician) covered it and released it on his album entitled Chameleon.
In 1991, the indie group Happy Mondays covered it in two different versions for the non-album single "Judge Fudge".
N-Trance covered a dance version of the song with new rap and lyrics in 1995.
In 1999, British Death metal band Ten Masked Men recorded a death metal cover of the song in their self-titled first album.
In 2000, the group "Baila" released a "turbo-charged" cover of the song (with the lyrics changed to replace the reference to the New York Times with "the Internet's effect on man").
Ozzy Osbourne covered the song and it appeared on CD 3 of his 2005 box set, Prince Of Darkness.
Dimension Zero did a death metal cover of the song on their 2007 He Who Shall Not Bleed album.
In 2007, the French band Electro Deluxe recorded a jazz fusion version of this song in their album "Hopeful".

And I Love You So is a song written by folk singer and guitarist Don McLean and released on his 1970 debut album, Tapestry.
Its chorus features an unusual rhyming scheme for a popular song: ABBA versus the usual AB(C or A)B.
The song was the B-side to McLeans debut single Castles in the Air, released in January 1971.
In 1973, And I Love You So was released as an A-side with If We Try as its B-side on United Artists Records.
Cover versions
And I Love You So was a 1973 hit for singer Perry Como on his RCA Victor album of the same name, And I Love You So, reaching No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It would be the last of his many popular recordings, dating back to 1943, to reach the top 40. It also spent one week at No. 1 on the Easy Listening chart. It reached No. 2 in South Africa and No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart on RCA Records and remained on the chart for 35 weeks (the longest of his hits in the UK).

Fly Me to the Moon, originally titled In Other Words, is a song written in 1954 by Bart Howard.
The first recording of the song was made in 1954 by Kaye Ballard.
Frank Sinatras 1964 version was closely associated with the Apollo missions to the Moon.
In 1999, the Songwriters Hall of Fame honored Fly Me to the Moon by inducting it as a Towering Song.
Background and composition
In 1954, when Fly Me to the Moon was first presented to the public, Bart Howard had been pursuing a career in music for over 20 years.
He played piano to accompany cabaret singers, but also wrote songs with Cole Porter, his idol, in mind.
In the book Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of New York Cabaret James Gavin noted that Howard wrote the song in response to his publishers plea for a simpler song: why did he have to write such grandiloquent lyrics? In Other Words talked about the verbosity of poets who use many words to say a simple thing; hold my hand, Kiss me. In response, Howard wrote a cabaret ballad. A publisher tried to make him change some words from fly me to the Moon to take me to the Moon, but Howard refused. Many years later Howard commented that ... it took me 20 years to find out how to write a song in 20 minutes.
He used his position as a piano accompanist and presenter at the Blue Angel cabaret venue to promote the song, and it was soon introduced in cabaret performances by Felicia Sanders.
