This is Rhum JM’s newest release Terroir Volcanique. Based out of Martinique, Rhum JM has been experimenting with fun and interesting barrel aging and blending, thanks in part to Cellarmaster Karine LaSalle and their onsite cooperage.
This is a blend of column distilled cane juice rums aged a minimum of three years in American Oak Barrels with two different levels of heavy char: intense and extreme. The name, heavy barrel char and flavor profile is inspired by Rhum JM’s proximity to the volcanic slopes of Mount Pelee.
