Today I’m tasting Black Tot Finest Caribbean Rum from Elixir Distillers. The name of the brand is a reference to Black Tot Day, when in July 31, 1970, the British Navy stopped serving daily rations of rum to their sailors. The blend of rums in Black Tot Finest Caribbean is from three countries (Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica) and is inspired by the blend of rums served to British sailors as part of their daily rations.

The blend consists of 60% rums from Guyana, 35% rums from Barbados and 5% rum from Jamaica. All these rums in the blend were aged tropically in ex-bourbon casks. There’s no chill filtration and no sugar added. And this is bottled at 46.2%
