Construction Notes:
Based on this geometric computer model structure, but with tubes replacing the connecting edge icosahedrons:

This shape is known geometrically as a rhombic dodecahedron.
Built from 122 6-ring tube connectors of length 4, and 65 R60 spheres.
(R stands for Rhombicosidodecahedron, which is the accurate geometric term for the little 60 ball spheres, but they are usually misnamed a C60 sphere, or buckyball)
A total magnet count of 122 × 6 × 4 + 65 × 60 = 6828 balls.
All connections are across triangular faces of 3 balls on the R60 spheres. Both ends of each hexagonal tube bond nicely to the R60s this way regardless of the different polarity at each end of a tube, but tubes of an even number of 6-rings are required to keep the R60s at each end oriented the same way. All the R60s are of the same polarity.
