At the request of the NSW SES the RFS has pre-positioned a rescue helicopter at Moruya on the South Coast. In a first for NSW emergency services, the aircraft will provided a dedicated night-time search and rescue capability to assist those who may be caught in flood waters. This helicopter will support another two aircraft already positioned at Nowra and Cooma.
