Looking for the ultimate lightweight jacket for your hot-weather rides? The REV’IT Eclipse 2 Jacket (2025) is here and may be the jacket you want!
In this video, I break down the features, functions, and why this jacket is an excellent choice for summer motorcycle enthusiasts. I tested it extensively during a two-week motorcycle trip from Bangalore to Kanyakumari, passing through Ooty, Munnar, Alappuzha, Varkala, and Kottayam. I rode a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and eventually loaded it on a train back to Bangalore.
The jacket's biggest strength is its sturdiness and excellent quality-to-price ratio. At a price of €120/$120, with an additional €40/$40 for the back protector, the complete jacket is an affordable €160/$160 package. Another strong benefit is that it can easily be thrown into the washing machine at normal temperatures once the protectors are removed. It dries completely in just 15 minutes in the sun.
However, while it claims to provide good ventilation with mesh panels on the front and back, I found it struggled to ventilate effectively in temperatures above 27–28°C and high humidity. In those conditions, I had to leave it open in the front to allow proper airflow.
Key Features Highlighted in the Video:
• CE-Level 1 SEESMART Protectors at shoulders and elbows for certified impact protection.
• Compatible with the SEESOFT CE-Level 2 Back Protector for an easy safety upgrade.
• Mesh panels strategically placed for unmatched ventilation.
• Durable 600D polyester outer shell combined with comfortable polyester mesh.
• Adjustable tabs at the waist, cuffs, and biceps for a custom fit.
• Laminated reflective logo on the back for visibility in low-light conditions.
• Practical pockets: 2 front slit pockets + 1 inner pocket for essentials.
• Jeans loop to keep the jacket securely in place while riding.
• Certified to EN 17092-4:2020 Class A standards, making it ideal for urban riders.
In summary, whether you’re riding through the city or heading out on the highway, the Eclipse 2 has you covered with maximum airflow, comfort, and protection.
