Yamaha's middleweight all-rounder, the Tracer 7, has been revamped for 2025 with a new ride-by-wire electronic throttle system facilitating a whole plethora of new technology to be added to the spec sheet.

We sent Phil West to Portugal ride the updated Tracer, both in standard and GT form, and to say he came back impressed was an understatement.

In this video, Phil explains why it's such a great motorcycle and why he'd (possibly) choose one over the bigger and more expensive Tracer 9.
