Definitely one of my favorite climbs in the Superstition Mountains. “The Lonely Mountain” is a 500 foot, 5 pitch trad climb. This is the first time I’ve done this route with 3 people. The belay at the top of pitch 3 was definitely feeling crowded but otherwise we had enough room. The cave at the top is an additional treat for those feeling adventurous. You have to do a short 15 foot rap off the backside of the summit and then bushwhack over to the cave. Watch your footing as the terrain is loose.
