The original program was developed by Laurie Spiegel in 1986 for Macintosh, Amiga, and Atari. In simple terms, it's an intelligent instrument you control with graphical user interface and input device like mouse/touchpad.
Genius level stuff. Very intuitive. Just started messing around with this and it's miraculous. Definitely will find some ways to use this. There's a lot of software that can generate melodic-harmonic material. Since this relies on the musician's input and ear, it seems inherently more unique.
