The "Restoring American's Promise" feature was presented by Go For Broke National Education Center's President & CEO, Dr. Mitch Maki, at the 2025 Evening of Aloha Gala Dinner on September 27 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites. Over 500 attendees gathered to celebrate the Go For Broke spirit and legacy of the Nisei soldiers of WWII.
This exclusive premiere is a poignant and inspirational overview of the challenges of the Japanese American WWII incarceration and military service and the successful passage of the Civil Liberties Act of 1988.
