It's no secret that I simply love the JVC built Commodore 1702 monitor. It's a solidly built and excellent performing monitor.
One thing that lets the monitor down is the fact that isn't a multi-standard monitor, meaning it only support PAL _or_ NTSC (depending on where there monitor is from.)
Another common problem with these monitors is that most 1702 monitors are now nearly 40 years old, and can be quite worn out.
Let's fix both of these issues by making a one of a kind multi-format and improved 1702 monitor!

![The VIC-II Kawari is a game changer for the NTSC Commodore 64
Sometimes things come along which are neat, but turn out to be so much better once you look deeper. For me, this is one of those products. The Kawari has some awesome features which truly make it a game changer.
Updates:
1) The PCB design files have not been uploaded yet to github. The firmware and other supporting software is open source but the PCBs are not open hardware (yet).
2) There are some limits re: using on-board oscillators. Some specialty cartridges that use the dot clock pin on the cartridge port wont work unless you move the clock src jumper to motherboard position. The Kawari site has more information about this.

![Is an IBM PC usable at the same clock speed as an Apple II?
Ah yes Ive always been curious how a PC would perform if I ran it at the same clock speed as most 6502 machines including the Apple II: 1mhz. Lets first see if I can even get a PC to run that slow, and if I can, how does it perform? Is it usable? And as a bonus, I find out what the slowest possible clock speed I can take this PC to.

The MacroSystem Casablanca is a non linear video editing system. It is supposedly descended from the Commodore Amiga. Is that for real? Lets see if we can figure it out.

![Lets test a 50 year old MOS 6502 CPU
There is a lot of argument if the missing ROR instruction is a bug or not. Whatever it is, it was clearly intended to be there but was left out at the last minute, likely due to time constraints for the release for the CPU. Just a handful of months later an updated data sheet was released saying the instruction would be added into future versions of the chip. The ROM we wrote is able to identify (in a running system) if you have a CPU that has a non-functional ROR instruction.
