Adrians Digital Basement | Is an IBM PC usable at the same clock speed as an Apple II? @adriansdigitalbasement | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Ah yes -- I've always been curious how a PC would perform if I ran it at the same clock speed as most 6502 machines including the Apple II: 1mhz. Let's first see if I can even get a PC to run that slow, and if I can, how does it perform? Is it usable? And as a bonus, I find out what the slowest possible clock speed I can take this PC to.
