The route from Melbourne to Mammoth Spring is part of the Ozark Plateau region, known for its mountainous terrain and scenic beauty. The highway meets AR 56 in Brockwell before exiting Izard County and entering Fulton County just north of the intersection with AR-354 in Oxford.
Upon reaching Fulton County, the highway meets AR 354 in Oxford as it continues northeast. Intersecting with US 62 / US 412 and Arkansas Highway 395 in Salem, the route then travels northeast to Mammoth Spring, a city named after Arkansas’s largest spring and one of the largest natural springs in the world.
Mammoth Spring, with a population of 929 as per the 2020 census, is renowned for its trout fishing and is home to the Mammoth Spring State Park, which features a 10-acre lake formed by the spring. The spring flows nine million gallons of water hourly, making it a popular tourist attraction.

The ride from Greenbrier to Holland begins at the intersection of AR-287 and U.S. Route 65 in Springhill, just south of Greenbrier. Travelling generally east for five miles, we enter the community of Holland where we continue east for another 2.5 miles before turning south.
Now driving south, we continue through Holland for almost 4 miles before turning east again to leave town. At the Holland town limits, we end the ride from Greenbrier to Holland turning south at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 36.

After spanning the water, the route enters Rockwall, where the interstate threads between local highways and growing suburbs before continuing eastward into Fate and Royse City. A stop at Buc-ee’s marks a classic Texas travel experience before rejoining the highway for the open road ahead.
From Royse City, the route heads northeast toward Greenville, crossing major routes like US-69 and US-380 as the city spreads out around the interchange. Continuing east, the highway stretches toward Sulphur Springs, a regional hub along the interstate, before passing through smaller communities like Mount Vernon and Mount Pleasant. This portion of the drive transitions from open farmland into more wooded terrain, with thicker groves of trees providing a scenic backdrop.
The final miles between Mount Pleasant and Texarkana highlight the quieter side of Northeast Texas. Limited exits and services mean longer uninterrupted stretches of highway until reaching New Boston and Hooks, where the Red River Army Depot looms just off the interstate. The video begins at the interchange with Interstate 244 in downtown Tulsa. Driving generally west, we pass the Gillcrease Expressway to enter Sand Springs, where we cross the interchange with OK-97. Continuing west on US-412, we pass OK-151 and the Keystone Dam before turning briefly northeast to cross the Arkansas River and enter the town of Shady Grove.
At Shady Grove, the highway once again turns west where US-64 splits off to the north while US-412 becomes the Cimmaron Turnpike. Now on the tolled Cimmaron Turnpike, we continue west through Hallett before entering Glencoe where we end the video at the interchange with Oklahoma Highway 312 to Stillwater.

The short but distinctive stretch of U.S. Route 49 between Helena/West-Helena, Arkansas, and Lula, Mississippi, carries travelers across the Mississippi River and into the heart of the Delta. Beginning at the junction with U.S. 49B in Helena/West-Helena, the highway makes its way eastward toward the towering Helena Bridge. The bridge itself, a cantilever span completed in the early 1960s, is a signature landmark of this corridor, offering expansive views of the river and surrounding floodplain. Crossing this span marks the transition from the rolling hills of eastern Arkansas to the flat expanse of the Mississippi Delta, a region long associated with agriculture and blues heritage.
Once in Mississippi, U.S. 49 quickly meets the northern end of Mississippi Highway 1, which parallels the river for much of its length. From there, the route continues eastward across broad, fertile fields characteristic of the Delta. This drive follows Interstate 40 westbound through the eastern Texas Panhandle, beginning at Exit 141 in McLean and ending at Exit 114 in Groom. Although relatively short in distance, this segment captures many of the defining traits of Panhandle travel: long, straight pavement, expansive horizons, and a strong sense of openness that allows the road to dominate the landscape. The video opens near McLean, a town closely tied to the legacy of U.S. Route 66, where remnants of older alignments and roadside businesses still echo the era before the interstate system reshaped long-distance travel.
Leaving McLean, Interstate 40 quickly settles into a steady westward rhythm. The terrain here is gently rolling prairie, with subtle elevation changes that are easy to miss unless watched carefully.
