When the KWM-2 ON OFF Power Switch fails it is like a major disaster as the original OEM snap type switches are simply unobtainable. The court of last resort is to fabricate a substitute methodology to turn on the KWM2 power supply using the original panel mount functionality..
Let me not kid you -- there is a lot of tribal knowledge, experience and plain old engineering genes required to pull this off. It helps to have a manual CNC machine and a well stocked junk box.
The original idea to use a shaft coupler between the panel mount selector switch and a substitute snap switch was found on the Internet. However how I made that play was totally from N6QW (me).
Now I know why I went to study electrical engineering!
