Last Fall I was in Ceara, Brazil, the land of handmade lace. I have taken this video as I was shopping on a street market (Feirinha da Volta de Jurema), famous in Fortaleza, the capital. I love to see how the lace makers will produce this beautiful lace with sudh detxerity and simplicity. This lady has been making Bilro Lace (Bobbin Lace) for over 50 years and she is telling me how the young girls nowadays are not intereted in learning the art.
