When Yamama Cement expanded its operations in Saudi Arabia, a new 50 hertz production line needed to run alongside an existing 60 hertz generator fleet in an off‑grid environment. Instead of investing in new generation assets, Hitachi Energy enabled a smarter path forward.

Using four 20 MW PCS6000 Static Frequency Converters, part of Hitachi Energy’s Grid-enSure® portfolio, the solution was delivered in containerized, factory-tested units. This approach enabled fast, low‑risk execution, even in a remote desert location.
