The Wacker Manual was developed to promote adoption of the 1909 Burnham/Bennett Plan of Chicago. The guide was adopted by Chicago Schools as part of the standard curriculum for nearly 30 years. In honor of our 50th anniversary, the Chicago Architecture Foundation is commissioning a “reimagining” of the 1911 Wacker Manual as a graphic novel for the next generation of urban planners.
