Reginald Foresythe plays his composition "Serenade For A Wealthy Widow" as a piano solo. The was recorded by Decca in May 1933 but it was not issued on 78.
This transfer comes from a 78 rpm vinyl master test, pressed up sometime in the 1960s to 1980s, probably by Decca engineer Geoff Milne. This was kindly loaned to me by the South Korean collector JiHoon Suk, to whom I extend my grateful thanks.

Piano solo
Recorded in London on 4th May 1933
GB 5846-2…….Serenade For A Wealthy Widow…….Decca 78 rpm vinyl master
The metal master or stamper from which this vinyl master was pressed was obviously badly corroded due to poor storage conditions, and so the vinyl pressing proved to be very noisy, with lots of heavy crackle, hiss and swish. I have restored the recording as best I can.
