Have you ever hand-sewn an entire costume? How did it go? Have you made a witch costume with a witchy hat?
The entirety of late fall through winter is spooky season to me, and I want to share with you how I made my Regency witch costume. The gown could also be used for mourning, and I definitely feel like I’m in mourning for this year of the plague, 2020, but I’m also really into the witch aesthetic.
I used my favorite pattern for Regency, Laughing Moon #126. It fits me so well, and I wanted to try making the long sleeves in view B with black silk organza.
I ended up hand-sewing this entire costume because the silk is basically a liquid and I did not want to put it through my sewing machine.
