If you’ve embedded images or video in your Pages for Mac document, that file is going to be big — but it doesn’t have to be. You can choose File, Reduce File Size, then select options such as Scale Down and convert images. Be sure to choose Reduce a Copy, for safety. If you really must include images in the manuscript, this is a great option because even as word processors display neat little images, they are storing the full-size, full-resolution versions in the file.
