한화디펜스는 이스라엘 Elbit 社 등 여러 협력사와 함께 ‘Team Redback’을 결성, 이를 리드하며 차세대 보병 장갑차 Redback 사업을 진행하고 있습니다.
Hanwha Defense has formed and led the ‘Team Redback’, with several partners, including Elbit Systems, to conduct the Redback next generation armored vehicle project.

Redback은 미사일, 로켓을 요격할 수 있는 아이언피스트 능동방호시스템(APS)과 30mm 기관포, 스파이크 LR2 미사일을 탑재하고 있으며 승무원이 이를 원격으로 통제할 수 있는 시스템도 갖추고 있습니다.
The Redback is equipped with an Iron Fist Active Protection System (APS) capable of intercepting missiles and rockets, a 30mm cannon and a Spike LR2 missile. And Redback’s crew can control it remotely.

Redback은 ‘LAND 400 Phase 3’의 최종 2개 후보 기업에 선정되었으며 호주 육군은 Redback과 경쟁사 제품의 차량성능, 방호, 화력, 정비/수송 시험평가를 진행하고 있습니다. 호주군은 내년 상반기에 우선협상 대상기업을 발표할 예정입니다.
