A remarkable sod-turning ceremony for Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Center of Excellence(H-ACE) took place on April 8 in Geelong, Victoria, with the attendance of some 200 high-profile guests and dignitaries from Australia and Korea.
At the large-scale, up-to-date production facility to be completed by 2024, 30 AS9 Huntsman Self-Propelled Howitzers and 15 other AS10 Armoured Ammunition Resupply Vehicles will be built with more orders expected in coming years.
Should the Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle be successful in the contest of LAND 400 Phase 3, the production line is certainly to be expanded to manufacture hundreds of the 5th-generation armoured combat vehicles evolved from the classic K21 IFVs operated by ROK Army.
