We build an Altar table for the church. A member had a neighbor cutting down a red oak tree, we got the tree, took it to a sawyer, had it dried, and then starter on the table. The challenge building this table was the honeycombing in the wood. Because it was dried too fast, the wood split internally. You don't find this out until you mill the lumber. So we elected to use the lumber after we used epoxy to fill the gaps and cracks in the wood.
