I don't think this is on YouTube yet, so here is the largely complete broadcast of Red Green Live 2002, recorded off South Dakota Public TV (via KTSD-TV 10 Pierre) in February 2002, during SDPTV's winter "Festival" fundraising event.
The theme of Red Green Live 2002 was the upcoming film based on the popular show, Duct Tape Forever. In-between the usual PBS fundraising bits, we got some behind the scenes things, movie clips and the like.
It can't be understated just how popular The Red Green Show was on PBS in the early 2000s. SDPTV and other midwestern PBS networks ran the show every night and it's how American audiences got introduced to the crazy world of Possum Lodge. For the next year's winter fundraising event, these same PBS stations ran Duct Tape Forever. I don't know if the movie ever got released in US theaters, but it was neat to see a real movie on PBS.
