From my university years, here is an aircheck of a country radio station I normally didn't listen to. There's a reason though, as the station recently got a new owner and was about to change formats. I managed to record a single 90 minute tape of the soon-to-be-gone retro country format.
The Wolf, as it was known at the time, specialized in 80s and 90s country hits, as stated on their archived website.
As for the station as a whole, 107.9 FM (KWSF, now KELQ) in the Sioux Falls area had a rather tumultuous history since signing on in either 2000 or 2001. It briefly ran an 80s rock format moved over from a sister station on 95.7, and then changed to Country, initially as "The Hog" KKHG. After the station changed owners in 2004, it rebranded to "The Wolf" KWSF.
