Here is a rarity... commercial breaks from the early days of Freeform, AKA CBN Cable Network. Not sure what particular date this was made but judging by the other recordings on the same tape, I'd guess either April or May 1986.
For those unaware, Freeform originally started out as CBN, a cable network started by televangelist Pat Robertson. The network went through many changes over the years, becoming CBN Family Channel in 1988, and spun off from the main CBN organization in 1991 and changed again to just The Family Channel.
Fox/Saban would purchase the network in 1997, and rename it Fox Family Channel in August 1998.
The channel was sold again to it's current owner, Disney, in July 2001 and was renamed ABC Family that November. It finally got it's current name, Freeform, in January 2016.
And after all those changes, the network is still required to run CBN's flagship TV show, The 700 Club.
