When I was working on the Shin Megami Tensei-style arrange of "Say My Name" earlier, I ended up listening to NeonCryptid's remix of Calliope Mori's "RED" that he made for "FLARE NUINUI QUEST". I know it wasn't intentional, but it sounded so much like a SMT battle theme. As such I ended up doing SMT-style arrange of this song too because it was going to bother me otherwise. ...I swear I'm not trying to make a habit of this! ^-^;

Its the 25th anniversary of Paper Mario, and seeing as thats my favorite game of all time I wanted to do a nice remix for the occasion! I settled on the final boss theme because I wanted to see if I could make it work on the SNES. It worked really well with the Super Mario RPG instruments, though I did have to borrow the lead guitar from Chrono Trigger for the solo. Hope it turned out alright!

Its the 40th anniversary of Metroid today! As such, I decided to make a SNES arrangement of the ending theme! I loosely based this arrange off the ending theme from Super Metroid and took a few liberties to achieve that, though its still largely based off the NES original. I hope it turned out alright. Supposedly theyre going to announce a new 2D Metroid soon, and if so I hope its good!

Flame Zapper Kotsujin is a shmup developed by CO2-Pro, which apparently was comprised of just two developers. I only found out about this game when looking up PC-98 emulator instructions the other day, and I saw this and thought wow, this looks really neat from the screenshot, wonder how it plays, and then I started playing it. It feels really nice to control, it looks incredible compared to some of the other games on the hardware (it kind of reminded me of Cho Ren Sha 68K in that regard), and the difficulty feels just right! The music is also really good, so dont be surprised if I do a remix or two from this game. Just about the only nitpicks I have with this are that it tends to freeze for a moment when loading a boss, or that it tries to force the homing laser weapon on you in certain stages (not that its unhelpful or anything, but sometimes I dont want the blue noodle!). Fun game, highly recommend it if youre looking for a shmup on the PC-98!

Its Chrono Triggers 30th Anniversary! As such, I wanted to get a remix of To Far Away Times done in time for the anniversary! I went with a PC-98 remix since a VRC6 remix already exists by the immensely talented FearOfDark. I also experimented with using more Rhythm commands in the I channel to add a bit more punch.
