Where has the time gone? ...Probably went to a different ending.

It's Chrono Trigger's 30th Anniversary! As such, I wanted to get a remix of "To Far Away Times" done in time for the anniversary! I went with a PC-98 remix since a VRC6 remix already exists by the immensely talented FearOfDark. I also experimented with using more Rhythm commands in the "I" channel to add a bit more punch. Hope you enjoyed this!

Mina the Hollower is FINALLY out! This has been one of my most anticipated games for the last couple of years, and Im so excited to finally play it! I had something else scheduled to go up today, but I figured since I had the time Id whip up a quick remix of Crypt Road in the Game Boy style. Of course, I wasnt expecting the game (and more importantly, the soundtrack) to release early, and not only did it have the official song name, this song had some changes compared to the old version. As such, I had to edit it late last night to better match the final version and correct a few errors. It may be somewhat of a rush job, but hopefully it turned out alright! Now if youll excuse me, Im gonna lock myself away so I can play this game in full!

For this song, I decided to do something a little different! PPMCK is a tool that compiles MML data into a format the NES and Famicom can read. Im admittedly not that well versed in PPMCK, which is why I wanted to try to fix that in case I need to use it for something else. Im not giving up Famitracker, by the way, but I figured I wanted to experiment a bit. Hope this turned out alright, in any case!

Its Xenoblades 15th anniversary, so I decided to remix one of its songs to celebrate! I was wracking my brain on what song to do, but I ultimately settled on Unfinished Business since thats one of the lesser-played tracks from the game. Hope it turned out alright!

I ended up playing through Metal Gear 2 last week, finally! While I dont think I prefer it to the games that followed, I can definitely see traces of what Metal Gear would become. It also happens to hold up pretty well! ...Not that me playing this would have any impact on me doing another Metal Gear 2 cover to cap off the Year of the Snake. No fake-outs this time, this IS the last remix I had planned for the year! I hope you enjoyed it!
As per usual, I will be going on break after this video. Unless prior obligations get in the way, I should be back to posting new remixes on January 23rd! Hope to see you then, and have a Happy New Year!

A little over a year ago, I contributed a rip of Corneria for @TimmyTurnersGrandDad for their Respect Your Elders event. Corneria in Melee didnt actually use any of the Corneria music from Star Fox, instead opting to use the Venom Base theme from the original. Once I realized that had been the case, it never stopped bothering me ever since. As such, I decided to channel that into a rip. I ended up using Furnace to make the rip instead of AddMusicK as a change of pace, since I probably wouldnt be uploading it to my main channel until Furnace (eventually) adds a way to export to SPC.
Of course, circumstances have changed since then. Schema_tuna has made a program that can convert .fur files into .txt files that AddMusicK can then convert into an SPC. Its not quite the SPC export I was waiting for, and as of writing this its still in beta, but hey, it works! Thus, I decided to spruce up the original file, fix a few errors and convert it to an SPC file! Hope you enjoy!

A while back, I was listening to music from Shin Megami Tensei when I thought, “I might be able to use these sound sample for a remix of Dark Sanctuary, and decided to remix it in the style of the SNES Shin Megami Tensei games. After that, I realized that the music for the other sanctuaries also fit the Shin Megami Tensei sound bank pretty nicely, and things snowballed from there. I had to take a few creative liberties, though. SMT doesnt have an oboe (and I didnt want to borrow one from Last Bible III), and the choir sample has a limit to how high its pitch can go so I had to lower one melody an octave. Beyond that, it was a matter of getting the time signatures to match up, though thankfully I had references I could use (as seen below). I hope this turned out alright, since it was a multi-day effort.
Also just as an FYI, I will be taking next week off for videos. Ill be back on June 9th. See you then!
