For Unity’s 20th Anniversary Game Jam, I challenged myself to make a DOOM-like retro FPS in just a few days using Unity’s “Through the Ages” anniversary asset packs. In this devlog, I show how I planned the project, created 2D billboard enemies from 3D animations, built simple enemy AI, and used a pixelation shader to give everything that old-school DOOM look.
