On the 5th of December 2023 AVRO and PROF jointly held a Seminar to address the concerns of those in the Recovery Industry about working on and recovering Electric Vehicle. As of the start of 2024 very few Recovery Operators are aware of the operational and safety aspects of working on them. Few have given much thought to the insurance consequences and so it was thought it was time to seat down with our colleagues in the other emergence services.
This included the NPCC, NFCC and UKRO. Also present were representatives from the Home Office. National Highways and the Department for Transport. along with the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles and the Dept Energy Security and Net Zero.
