Okay this is a bit of an experiment. I've been wondering if this would work so i thought I'd try it out in this video.Can you get a decent recording of a guitar amp and a vocals together with just one mic?
Because of the figure of eight polar pattern on the ribbon mic if I place the amp directly behind the mic it should pick it up pretty well.
