The Recordgraph, by Frederick Hart & Co., Inc. / American Amertype Corporation, model A, is now recapped and is working to a degree. Audio quality of this Amertape unit is not as good as it should be fully capable of at this time, but still can produce intelligible recordings.

Quite an amazing old device, and a very little-known format, that mainly saw use by the US Military and government back in the 1940s, and known as a format used recording live audio of the D-Day invasions and other WWII field recordings.

My machine was not one of the ones used in WWII, and the film that was on mine was blank when I got it, so no, I did not destroy any historical recordings.

I am looking for any advice on how to improve the playback quality, and where I could find a needle with a wider-angled point. Original frequency response was listed as 150 - 3.5kHz, and according to old transferred WWII recordings I found online, this unit is capable of much better quality than I am able to educe from my unit.
