I just had to buy this tired 1980 Realistic (UK model) stereo record player when I spotted it on Ebay. In this part I look at the knackered chipboard cabinet & have decided to replace the entire cabinet in solid Oak. As a church (pipe) organ builder I can do things like that.

The amplifier uses two LM380N amplifier IC's, so I'd expect it to be 2W RMS per channel output. The electronics is typical of UK small scale production from this period & everything is nicely made. The BSR turntable will be properly overhauled by Andy from Vintage audio at Stockport....Part 2 will be in about six weeks.
