Can science discover what is and what ought to be?
Karen and Matt discuss the last section of Part 1 of Piranesi through the lens of Hume, Kant and Des Cartes, with a little Jordan Peterson thrown in.

Matt posits that Kant warped the structure of grammar which has had a damaging effect on real communication.

He brought up a quote from Jordan Peterson's conversation with Richard Dawkins: "There is genuine redundancy in the external world."
So, we discussed the various meanings and "shades" of redundancy and looked at the word "adumbrate" as that which allows the light to filter down through the leaves of the trees to foliate meaning.
