How to read the memory on the Blood Coronation and complete the Duke’s office mission in Crimson Desert.
If you are stuck on The Blood Coronation, you know that the unique memory mechanics can be a major headache. If you exit the "Visione" (Vision) mode too early, the quest can break or glitch. This guide shows you the most efficient way to infiltrate the palace, trigger the spectres, and survive the aftermath.
*Step 1: Infiltrate the Palace*
- To reach the Duke’s Old Office, you must enter the palace in the capital city of Demeniss.
- The Stealth Route: Avoid the guards at the main bridge. Instead, climb the rocks and scaffolding on the right side of the castle.
- Window Entry: Locate the upper balcony and jump through the window to land directly in the office.
*Step 2: Trigger the Memory & Visione Mode*
Once inside the office, look for the blue spectral figures.
- Equip the Lantern: Hold F2 (on PC) to select your lantern and turn it on.
- Activate Visione: Aim the lantern light at the wall or the spectres. Your character will automatically put on the Visione helmet.
- Stay in the Room: Watch the entire scene between Lucian Bastier and the Inquisitor.
- ⚠️ CRITICAL: Do not manually remove the helmet. If the memory glitches, restart the quest by selecting the helmet in your inventory.
*Step 3: Analyze the Three Nobles*
Follow the ghosts down to the ground floor Audience Chamber. To progress, you must eavesdrop on three specific groups of non-player characters (NPCs) that appear more saturated or glow brighter than others.
1. Group 1: Near the entrance of the chamber. Approach and select Examine.
2. Group 2: Toward the center-left of the hall. Stay close until the progress bar fills.
3. Group 3: In the back-right corner of the room. Listen to the entire conversation.
*Step 4: Boss Fight (Duke Gabriel Caliburn)*
After the third conversation, a cutscene triggers the combat sequence with Duke Gabriel Caliburn.
- Survival Tip: This is a scripted encounter. Do not waste your most expensive healing items or food here.
- Strategy: Focus on parrying to break his stance and survive until the next cutscene triggers.
