How to restore the power at the Sanctum of Mortification and complete the Fragments of Darkness quest in Crimson Desert.
If you are stuck on the Fragments of Darkness quest, you know that finding and installing the reactor parts can be confusing. This guide shows you the SUPER EASY way to find the pylon dome, retrieve the fusion core, and solve the light puzzle to restore power.
*Step 1: Repair the Pylon Dome*
Find the dome marker on your map and pick it up using Axiom Force (PC: Tab | Xbox: Left Stick | PS5: Left Stick).
- The Placement: Carry the dome to the Sanctum and place it under the Broken Pylon. You will see green leaves swirling when it is in the right spot.
- The Strike: Climb on top of the dome. Use a Jump + Force Palm strike (PC: Tab | Xbox: Left Stick | PS5: Left Stick) to hit the dome into place and electrify the pylon.
*Step 2: Retrieve the Fusion Reactor Core*
Head to the second map marker to find a wall covered in vines.
- Clear the Path: Use your Blinding Light/Flash (PC: CTRL + LEFT Click | Xbox: LB + RB | PS5: L1 + R1) ability to burn away the vines.
- Capture the Core: Use Axiom Force to pull the core through the gate and store it in your Kuku Pot.
*Step 3: Install the Core & Restore Power*
Return to the Sanctum and find the empty block space.
- Discard to Install: Open your Kuku Pot, select the Fusion Reactor Core, and choose Examine to drop it.
- Final Step: Use Axiom Force to position it, then use a Force Palm (PC: Tab | Xbox: Left Stick | PS5: Left Stick) to push it into the slot. This will restore the power.
*Step 4: Solve the Light Puzzle (Core of Mortification)*
Step on the pressure plate to activate the mini-puzzle.
- The Dial: Shine your Blinding Light (PC: CTRL + LEFT Click | Xbox: LB + RB | PS5: L1 + R1) on the center circle to start the rotation.
- The Timing: Activate your light each time the rotating dial reaches a small dot/node. Once finished, claim your reward from the top of the Sanctum.
