Gonna catch up on posting some things in my drafts while i'm still sick and at home, so here's one edit. Below is an older description that i wrote some months back.
I made this soon after i watched episode 11 of Tokyo Revengers. And, once again, my cpu cooler has been upgraded since this time.
Also i honestly loved what they did with the anime episode titles all starting with ''re'' until a certain point. In a way i believe that that inspired this edit's title!
(now that i think of it, maybe this edit doesn't have that much flash or capabilities of giving eyestrain, but, yes. I don't think i have this project anymore, so i can't remove the warning.)
~
Editing this one was an experience that was all over the place.
Firstly, this is my first Tokyo Revengers edit! ^^ I'm enjoying this series sooo darn much!
I suppose i kind of got this idea, and then stuck with it. I would have otherwise found it hard to edit, but somehow, i just kept focus while working on this.
I was sort of ''dual-wielding'' vegas and ps while making this, and that was very fun :3 the moment i got an idea that requires ps, i just went back to its window and made the thing before plopping it into vegas :3
In this video, i wanted to focus on lyrics and mixing together handwritten text (once again!) with stylized text. I really wanted to try overlaying text that is solid, and then text with just the stroke, and so, i did so.
And i suppose I wanted to focus on Mikey the most, perhaps subconsciously bc he's my fave character, but also add Draken and show how they stick beside each other. And then also a bit of Takemichi.
Some parts like the beginning (the ''throat hurts'' part) was trial and error in terms of getting the positioning of the shakes how i wanted them.
All and all editing this was alright and i was happy to see it all come together, however, i quickly grew a little annoyed while making this.
That started when it came to rendering. My first intention was to render this out and edit it more afterwards - adding zooms and pans to make the video look more, three-dimensional, i guess? So after i plopped this back into Vegas, something just wasn't working with my s_blurmocurves movements and i wasn't happy with how it was looking, so i scapped that idea. But i decided to use this opportunity to fix some things in the original that i wasn't very fond of. And so i did. But i was getting tired, so i slowly just, wanted to be done with this already. Then came rendering another time, and i figured that maybe i could render with my gpu to take workload off my cpu so it doesn't keep heating up (it simply worried me, as i don't want the cpu's lifespan to shorten due to frequent-ish heat). I used to be able to get it working, but nah, i somehow it didn't work no matter what i did this time. In fact, when i rendered one time with the supposed encoder that my gpu has, there was no thermal difference and my media player just gave me errors upon opening the video. So the video was broken. Then i was already getting tired of looking at this project, so i rendered again, but i wasn't feeling happy with how my cpu just wasn't catching a break, and started to thermal throttle. This took around 16 minutes to render the first time, and a bit over 18 minutes the third or fourth time i rendered. It was already 2 AM by that point and i was really tired, but regardless of these rendering troubles, i do feel like this result is pretty good. The outro with the thumbnail kind of, might have overstayed its welcome, but i don't want to return to this project now.
And so, i hope y'all enjoy this and also have a good day/night! ^^
I forgot to add my watermark to this XD'' well, please don't repost this video or something like that ^^''

![Mo Dao Zu Shi [ Wangxian ] || AGAIN
My, theres quite a lot to say about this one. Ill start from the beginning!
Firstly, i wanna say that this project is quite a special one to me, which will be explained why, a bit below.
Back in, i believe early October of last year, I had really gotten into listening to Flyleaf, so much so that they became one of my fave bands! This was one of the songs i came across from them that I really grew to like. I no longer remember how i found the song, but the next memory i have is that I could barely listen to the song Without realizing that this fits Wei and Lan so well, and getting extremely vivid visions of a Wangxian edit with this song. The inspiration was absolutely overwhelming, and this was happening during a time when i was still so nervous and unsure about my new year in uni, where i felt like I was losing my touch with creativity - something which is very important to me for self-expression.
The idea of the video goes as such: I envision this song as being Lan singing to Wei, and singing about him. Hes singing to him in his most vulnerable moment, when his vessel has become far too weak, and he finds himself reflecting on Weis past actions, and trying to find it in his heart to explain himself, and comfort Wei in this moment. He never hated him.
The black and white variations were supposed to represent different parts in time, based on their color scheme.
Full color: the past
Half-colored b&w: the present
Full b&w: the imaginary, hopeful and ideal visions
Although with time, during the editing process, this color symbolism faded a bit in favor of adding smooth color transitions and added intensity.
It didnt take long for me to slap down this song into Vegas and absolutely FILL the timeline with markers about my clip ideas - i knew exactly which scenes i wanted to use. Then, worry started to settle in. What if the clips dont look the way i hope? what if this is another project I will start and give up on?.
Nevertheless, i pushed forwards with this project when i had the time. Shuffling the project between two different computers, losing some of my files along the way.
I wanted the clips to match both the lyrics and my story. I believe the more I set clips, the more a very clear idea popped into my head - i wanted to work with voice overs and sound effects! But i didnt just wanna plop some down for the sake of it, i wanted to create an entire atmosphere in this video with the sound effects. I see some editors splendidly use sound effects in their videos and I really commend them for it! I wanted to go all-out with my work, as well. And so, i started looking up tutorials on how to work with sound design ^^ Important to note, however, is that most of the separate sfx arent mine, i tried to find copyright-free or general sound effects on YT. I did, however, make a couple wind howl sounds from white noise ^^
Adding the clips was a process of adding the scenes i already had in mind; some got swapped out. And for others I had to add something new or work on the clip flow.
To add to being ambitious, i tried to do more masks than usual, experiment with transitions. I wanted to build atmosphere with layering light rays to add an extra glow to water scenes for example, too.
I spent a lot of time trying to get the effects to be just perfect - exactly how i want them to be. Up until the final days that i worked on finishing this, that entire process got so tiring that i barely had the energy to work on this anymore. Detail can naturally come out as i get into the process, which it did. And i finished this out of spite last night at 4 AM, but left small fixes and rendering for today.
Ah yeah. And another aspect that made this video feel special to me is that for a couple months late last year, and early this year, I had felt like i relate to bits of this song, and In The Dark by Flyleaf in their own ways. Its like this encapsulates my mental state, my reoccurring hyperfixation on Wangxian, and my new creative attempts/mindset all in one video.
I dont mind if to someone else this may sound silly, but making this and finishing it meant a lot to me. While it took me 9 months to finish, in realtime those 9 months where long, excruciating months for me, with some days being so much harder than others. this video being here in the state that it is, is a reminder to myself about some things i found completely hard to believe during these long months: that i havent lost my creative spark, that i still know how to edit well, that i can finish ideas i start, and that im still capable of pursuing my passion - art, design, video editing. Thank you for reading ❤️And thank you all for your continuous support, it means so much to me!
Well then! I really do hope yall enjoy this one ^^
Stay safe and hydrated, and have a great day/night! ^^

![JUDAS [ Comparison edit ]
Please watch in HD if you can! ^^
So this is an idea that my best friend suggested!
She suggested that we edit with the same audio, but dont reveal how were editing to each other, or what were using, and then we could compare how differently we see the audio ^^
I suggested this audio, from there, and then we took off XD
I would like to mention that she has edited for only about a month, on and off ^^ And this is also the first finished edit, as well XD Personally I really like the result of her version!!!! XD I shall provide a link to her edit down below ^^
She also used Vegas for her edit, if anything ^^
This took me about 2 hours to finish, aaand it took her 2 days to finish her edit ^^
And basically the way that we communicated over skype while editing was like lets add this thing - ah yes thats a good thing XD Just to not spoil each other XD
I dont have too much to say atm, but I would like to say that this whole idea was really fun and it was a lot of fun to make this - plus it was easy :3
Oh oh!!! And another thing is that I tried nesting or pre-comping in Vegas for the first time in this project (and actually sticking to that precomp) and this is definitely how Im gonna keep doing it from now on, rather than rendering and then putting the file back in Vegas!!! ^^
Oh I also decided to start using some new things in this edit, and I think Ive come to like these things as well ^^ One of them being that Ive started to like adding renoiser in MBL, and also LUT and adjusting the strength of that ^^ Ive also come to like making text into what I would call an invisible square more often, especially if its a single word ^^
Im veeeery happy with the result of my own edit, especially the coloring :3 I ended up experimenting a bit with the coloring itself, as yall can see :3
The thing is that I rendered this multiple times tho, bc I wanted to see if I wanted this with more RSMB, mild RSMB, or no RSMB ^^ Doing this I was able to see the differences between rendering with and without RSMB too owo
So it went like this!:
No RSMB: 7 minutes
Mild RSMB: 10 minutes
Heavy-ish RSMB: 14 minutes ^^
I had to do some comparing afterwards and I decided to keep the one with mild RSMB, which is also, of course, the one you see here ^^
And I suppose thats all I wanna say! :3 I really hope that yall enjoy both my edit and my besties edit x3

Hm, I actually dont remember much about making this aside from the fact that I got really into editing this, and that everything flowed together without me even thinking owo Basically, kinda like the edit was editing itself ^^
And Im pretty sure I got inspired for something like this after I heard this song earlier that same day, and I got visions of an edit like this, as I was listening :3
It was fun to try out an ultrawide resolution like this, too ^w^
Right then, I wont force myself to write more, and as such, I hope yall enjoy this edit ^^

![Mission objective :: DESTROY [ MGS2 Raiden edit ]
I believe this idea came to me from a sudden spur of motivation to edit with MGS2, especially Raiden in that game! Aaaand this is my first AE edit in quiiitee a while!!
Currently playing MGS2 and its definitely one of my favorites right now!
I had decided on finding some edit audio that someone else has already made, to make it easier for myself. I found this one through a compilation on YouTube, and at one point it was between this song and an edited audio of Art Gang Money. I had decided on this one, as the latter felt a bit too badass, but this game feels like its more dark, mysterious, and has moments that feel like its hinting towards an identity crisis. This song is also very dark and sad, so it captured the vibe of what i imagine Raiden to be feeling at points, or maybe how i see the game at points.
I had thought about replacing this song with an instrumental version, but i realized that that would take some more effort on my part to sync it to what i already had and slow it down just enough. So i decided to keep editing with this audio.
I decided quite early on that i wanted to use AE for this one. I wanted to befriend the program again (even if 1-2 months ago i needed to use it on a daily basis, basically), and i wanted to muster up the patience to watch some glitch tutorials that felt helpful to me.
It took a bit of effort to start working with the program again, but i got the hang of it again quick enough. As i was listening to the song, i knew i wanted to work with melty transitions and fades to black, and shape transitions. So i followed my ideas but deviated when i saw fit, and actually, this result ended up being better/more interesting than what i had in mind.
I really got into it and it was fun trying to think of ways to make the shape transition work. Took me about one day (the same day that i started this project on) to finish setting the clips and finish the part from 0:09-0:13 and the overlay in the bg and zoom out at 0:14. The rest I did and finished the next morning.
I also wanted to add some slightly cryptic text, like something that could describe the mission that Raiden has been put on. And in general i wanted the clips and the idea of this to pull on the heartstrings just a little bit.
Ah, and i added one short bit/transcript of a codec call from the game in the intro.
And then when i looped the edit, i wanted to try out an effect called posterize time.
Ah and while making this, i learned about some tools/a plugin called EZ tools, and so i downloaded that one and tried to get the hang of using it, and it was rather useful for some areas~
Had one small issue after rendering twice. This was the first render that succeeded, however, during the loop, there is a section that glitches into one of the clips of Raiden (its just a static image of him entering the room) and that is not supposed to be there. This same image appears at the veeery end of this video too, which also isnt supposed to be there, but its rather amusing lol
i tried to render a higher quality version and wanted to see if that could fix it, but no, that made it worse. In that render, the beginning also had weird glitches like this with other clips, but i didnt want to make the render any worse than this and i didnt want to render again. So heres this slightly lower quality, but comparably less glitchy render.
The render time itself wasnt bad. From what i recall it could have been like 22 minutes.
Overall Im very happy with the result of this edit. Though i feel like the composition could have been better at points, it was really fun to make, so i think that, alone, is good enough too.
Oh oh right! and as for MGS2, waahh i really like this game! its the next game im playing after MGR, and its really interesting to see how Raiden once was. I find it very interesting to think to myself what exactly could have caused him to slowly develop into who he became in MGR. Well, one thing is that he hadnt lost his human body in this game yet, i think.
Im really enjoying my experience with the game, and while its hard to not get spoiled for it, this game iiisss 11 years old, so that is to be excepted.
Not too far into the game yet, but thats okay.
That is all i wanted to say! i really hope that yall enjoy this, and have a very good day/night! ^^
