I'll start off by saying that I'm quite happy with the result of this!
This video has literally been in editing since October of last year.
This all could've been a tinge smoother, but still, I'm happy that this is finished.
This entire project was just a trip, honestly!
I began making this uuuuhh not long after I first heard this song, I think? It was randomly recommended to me on Youtube, and I started to like it really quickly ^^
The ideas I had for this were very ambitious, just like the ones I had for my The Devil edit from back then.
Similarly to that edit, I had written down a lot of editing ideas for this video down in my notes when I was away from home and had the time to.
My main idea for this video was to capture the slight Ancient Egyptian vibe the song was giving off, and match the clips to the lyrics to the best of my abilities. And also to make the effects and transitions as smooth as possible, nearly AE-like. I wanted the transitions during the drop in the chorus to have no visible pause where the effects stop. With time that may or may not have fallen apart though.
I feel as though I managed to capture quite a bit of intensity during that part?
Making this included me finding a new way to do smooth shakes, and I began to really like my own transitions here. But everything couldn't be nice during the whole process. I also encountered a fair share of problems while making this that really hindered the time in which I could finish this project.
Although making this was very fun when things were working, and I found the smoothness of it all quite surprising, I had problems with certain transitions. The full preview quality would make the effects look COMPLETELY different from how they do on auto, and I had to look up how to fix this. Don't remember how that went but basically I realized that I need to remove the stutter duration on the clips completely, which is what I did for some clips. That??? Somehow helped?? But not for every clip. As today I just understood that I needed to switch around the pan/crop tab with the effect I had added prior to it, so the pan/crop comes first. For some reason I thought a switch like that would work, but it really can depend on what effect you add prior to that tab.
I believe that was the main problem. Another problem was me not being able to remember what happened in what episode, and therefore not being able to find the clips I had written down in my markers. Thiiis might've just been the main problem that pro-longed this video's completion.
There were some ideas of mine that I had changed as time went on. Such as the first piece of text not having a wipe transition like that, but having a fade out transition first. That looked very strange to me later on, so I changed it. I also faded out the song sooner than how it is here, so I didn't have a space for an ''outro'' then, since at the time, I didn't do anything like that. But as you can see, I've done it here.
I feel like I kind of fused some kind of newer elements of mine into this old video, but not too much, since I wanted to stick with what I originally had in mind for the most part.
What I do want to mention is that I did around 95% of this video on my old laptop, and I seriously extended doing those other 5%.
It's only now that I have a very fast laptop that I realize just how much patience I had when making this originally. I had to wait a very long time for things to ram preview, and playing this video without a ram preview was literally impossible for me back then. Plus there was lag.
I had come back to this edit every now and then before getting my new laptop to briefly work on little things, but today I finally made it a goal for myself to finally finish this project and put it to rest. Aaaand I succeeded in doing so, as y'all can see!
Dude but when I honestly looked back at this editing today, I realized that I need to get back on my own level - this editing is just wild XD
I had to render this twice bc the first time I saw some mistakes ^^'' Speaking of rendering, this video's render time stopped at 1 hour and 3 minutes, which is by far the longest this laptop has stopped at so far. But given the fact that there is a lot added onto these clips, including RSMB and this being 60 fps, I'm not entirely surprised. I believe that this would've taken maybe 12 hours or more on my old laptop, so this is still fine. It ended up rendering for 1 hour and 16 minutes the second time.
All and all, I believe that I was able to do everything that I wanted to do originally, minus some clips being a little different from what I originally wanted to add. Aaand it's a little more choppy than I thought it would be at points.
So then!
I do hope that y'all enjoy this video! ^w^
Oh, and that y'all have a great day/night c:

![JUDAS [ Comparison edit ]
Please watch in HD if you can! ^^
So this is an idea that my best friend suggested!
She suggested that we edit with the same audio, but dont reveal how were editing to each other, or what were using, and then we could compare how differently we see the audio ^^
I suggested this audio, from there, and then we took off XD
I would like to mention that she has edited for only about a month, on and off ^^ And this is also the first finished edit, as well XD Personally I really like the result of her version!!!! XD I shall provide a link to her edit down below ^^
She also used Vegas for her edit, if anything ^^
This took me about 2 hours to finish, aaand it took her 2 days to finish her edit ^^
And basically the way that we communicated over skype while editing was like lets add this thing - ah yes thats a good thing XD Just to not spoil each other XD
I dont have too much to say atm, but I would like to say that this whole idea was really fun and it was a lot of fun to make this - plus it was easy :3
Oh oh!!! And another thing is that I tried nesting or pre-comping in Vegas for the first time in this project (and actually sticking to that precomp) and this is definitely how Im gonna keep doing it from now on, rather than rendering and then putting the file back in Vegas!!! ^^
Oh I also decided to start using some new things in this edit, and I think Ive come to like these things as well ^^ One of them being that Ive started to like adding renoiser in MBL, and also LUT and adjusting the strength of that ^^ Ive also come to like making text into what I would call an invisible square more often, especially if its a single word ^^
Im veeeery happy with the result of my own edit, especially the coloring :3 I ended up experimenting a bit with the coloring itself, as yall can see :3
The thing is that I rendered this multiple times tho, bc I wanted to see if I wanted this with more RSMB, mild RSMB, or no RSMB ^^ Doing this I was able to see the differences between rendering with and without RSMB too owo
So it went like this!:
No RSMB: 7 minutes
Mild RSMB: 10 minutes
Heavy-ish RSMB: 14 minutes ^^
I had to do some comparing afterwards and I decided to keep the one with mild RSMB, which is also, of course, the one you see here ^^
And I suppose thats all I wanna say! :3 I really hope that yall enjoy both my edit and my besties edit x3

Hm, I actually dont remember much about making this aside from the fact that I got really into editing this, and that everything flowed together without me even thinking owo Basically, kinda like the edit was editing itself ^^
And Im pretty sure I got inspired for something like this after I heard this song earlier that same day, and I got visions of an edit like this, as I was listening :3
It was fun to try out an ultrawide resolution like this, too ^w^
Right then, I wont force myself to write more, and as such, I hope yall enjoy this edit ^^

![Mission objective :: DESTROY [ MGS2 Raiden edit ]
I believe this idea came to me from a sudden spur of motivation to edit with MGS2, especially Raiden in that game! Aaaand this is my first AE edit in quiiitee a while!!
Currently playing MGS2 and its definitely one of my favorites right now!
I had decided on finding some edit audio that someone else has already made, to make it easier for myself. I found this one through a compilation on YouTube, and at one point it was between this song and an edited audio of Art Gang Money. I had decided on this one, as the latter felt a bit too badass, but this game feels like its more dark, mysterious, and has moments that feel like its hinting towards an identity crisis. This song is also very dark and sad, so it captured the vibe of what i imagine Raiden to be feeling at points, or maybe how i see the game at points.
I had thought about replacing this song with an instrumental version, but i realized that that would take some more effort on my part to sync it to what i already had and slow it down just enough. So i decided to keep editing with this audio.
I decided quite early on that i wanted to use AE for this one. I wanted to befriend the program again (even if 1-2 months ago i needed to use it on a daily basis, basically), and i wanted to muster up the patience to watch some glitch tutorials that felt helpful to me.
It took a bit of effort to start working with the program again, but i got the hang of it again quick enough. As i was listening to the song, i knew i wanted to work with melty transitions and fades to black, and shape transitions. So i followed my ideas but deviated when i saw fit, and actually, this result ended up being better/more interesting than what i had in mind.
I really got into it and it was fun trying to think of ways to make the shape transition work. Took me about one day (the same day that i started this project on) to finish setting the clips and finish the part from 0:09-0:13 and the overlay in the bg and zoom out at 0:14. The rest I did and finished the next morning.
I also wanted to add some slightly cryptic text, like something that could describe the mission that Raiden has been put on. And in general i wanted the clips and the idea of this to pull on the heartstrings just a little bit.
Ah, and i added one short bit/transcript of a codec call from the game in the intro.
And then when i looped the edit, i wanted to try out an effect called posterize time.
Ah and while making this, i learned about some tools/a plugin called EZ tools, and so i downloaded that one and tried to get the hang of using it, and it was rather useful for some areas~
Had one small issue after rendering twice. This was the first render that succeeded, however, during the loop, there is a section that glitches into one of the clips of Raiden (its just a static image of him entering the room) and that is not supposed to be there. This same image appears at the veeery end of this video too, which also isnt supposed to be there, but its rather amusing lol
i tried to render a higher quality version and wanted to see if that could fix it, but no, that made it worse. In that render, the beginning also had weird glitches like this with other clips, but i didnt want to make the render any worse than this and i didnt want to render again. So heres this slightly lower quality, but comparably less glitchy render.
The render time itself wasnt bad. From what i recall it could have been like 22 minutes.
Overall Im very happy with the result of this edit. Though i feel like the composition could have been better at points, it was really fun to make, so i think that, alone, is good enough too.
Oh oh right! and as for MGS2, waahh i really like this game! its the next game im playing after MGR, and its really interesting to see how Raiden once was. I find it very interesting to think to myself what exactly could have caused him to slowly develop into who he became in MGR. Well, one thing is that he hadnt lost his human body in this game yet, i think.
Im really enjoying my experience with the game, and while its hard to not get spoiled for it, this game iiisss 11 years old, so that is to be excepted.
Not too far into the game yet, but thats okay.
That is all i wanted to say! i really hope that yall enjoy this, and have a very good day/night! ^^

![[ Devil May Cry 4 : MIC DROP! ]
Please watch in HD if you can! ^w^
Behold, the project that I dubbed the 30 fps project that looks its in 60 fps XD
Okay, but on a more serious note!
This began when I wanted to download some raw/hd footage of DMC4, buuut it ended up taking nearly an entire day to download. I needed to leave my laptop on for a night to let it finish asdkjas-
And then the next day, I figured that if it took that long, I should put the clips to use, and so, this happened. Its not like this idea was forced tho - I was looking through my playlist of songs/stuff I plan on editing with, and I found this. As I was listening, I thought it would be cool to make a DMC4 edit with this song.
My idea was a bit all over the place and nothing specific, but whatever I had in mind at first - the result turned out to be much better ^^
I didnt want to bother with 60 fps so I went with 30 fps ^^
Apparently I was also so excited that I ended up placing down nearly every new clip I saw in the cutscenes XD
And I was able to do like 93% of this video in one day, too! The only things I had to do today were finish up the effects on the clips from 0:08-0:11 ^^ (The text there was also done yesterday, and so was the outro ^^)
I also hope that the lyrics are correct bc I took them from a site with color coded lyrics, but on a color coded lyrics video here on YT, some words were different ^^ Although, it seemed that I could find more than one source with the lyrics and translation that I used here, which is good ^^
Another thing I would like to say is that this took 11 minutes and 11 seconds to render originally which is pretty amazing XD However, after watching the result a couple times, I decided to fix a tiny thing in this video, since it took such a short time to render. I decided to add Twixtor to the b&w clip of Nero that appears near the end, where the first Mic comes in. It moved a little too fast in the original clip, like it just sprang into existence, even if I tried to slow it down ^^ So thats where I took out AE, and after putting that little clip back into Vegas and copying the effects back onto it, I realized that the Twixtor was much needed! It looks so much smoother and better this way ^^ Also, fixing this made me realize that I made a little mistake in the outro - I left the word song unbolded while the rest of the words were bolded, so I fixed it, so that all four words there, at the beginning of the paragraphs, would be simply italic ^^
I also tried out some liiittle new things here and there in this edit, like brief new shakes, adding a glowing double shadow, more brief rotations, a new way of making muffled audio, and trying to tie the effects in more with the sound effects that I add ^^
I want to also say that towards the end of making this, I realized something about how I was editing. This kind of feeling began in my last two projects (one of which Im still yet to post) - I didnt feel worried about what I was making, or worrying about adding anything new or pretty - I was simply making whatever unconsciously came to me, and what felt right ^^ Thats when I realized that it could be best to keep it this way and try to not let insecurity get to me, bc I believe that it could be in the moments of unconsciousness that youre able to create something pretty anyways. A little poetic there, I suppose ^^
But that can depend from person to person, I suppose! This is personally just the case for me, it seems ^^
Suppose you can also call that getting into the zone of doing things
So yeah! All and all I wanna say that Im very happy with this edit and theres nothing I dislike about it!
Making this was very fun, and I really hope that yall enjoy this edit as much as I enjoyed making it :3

![SUPERSONIC :: Reno [ Speed edit ]
Watch in HD, if you can!
Since this is a speed edit, the video of me editing this (sped up) is available here!: https://youtu.be/K5nw09AFTDo
This was made as a little challenge for myself!
When I first heard this song yesterday, I was pretty much smacked with ideas for an edit revolving around this song and Reno, but my ideas were quite chaotic and all over the place, and so, I decided, that while the ideas are still fresh in my mind, I could try doing a speed edit.
I set a time limit for myself for this edit, and that was 3 hours. I ended up finishing this entire thing in 2 hours and 24 minutes according to the recording I did, and Im glad I was able to do everything in time. Aaand rendering this took 20 minutes and 17 seconds.
I didnt try to put too much effort into making this look the way I wanted it to, and making it look the way I envision the music. This was supposed to be just a practice edit, after all.
At the start of making this, I did actually edit the way I usually would, where I would all my focus into perfecting a certain area before I move onto the next, but then I remembered my time limit, and eventually I started editing in the way where, in big leaps, I would add the general idea of what I wanted, and only after finishing the whole video would I return to those little parts to fix them up.
Another thing that I would like to mention is that I used a reference for the coloring from a gif that I found, bc I liked the paleness and the general look of it, but I still ended up tweaking it to how I like it and how it could fit into my style and whatnot.
So yeah, yall will be able to see how the editing process went down, in the video I provided, if you want to check it out.
Actually, I feel like this song fits Reno in some ways, bc it has a lot of attitude and has a party vibe, just like his entire character XD
Sooo then!
I hope that yall enjoy this thing, and that you all have a good day/night ^^
