I have found a simpler quicker way to filter through the many possible lens and separation options to find the ideal long focus compound lens. It also allows us to see that magical axial beam of intense light that we have speculated on and seen in action but never actually seen because 10.6 micron light is invisible.. All the other light goes out of focus but the needle thin core remains intense.
