Another “How To” guide for you from http://www.scalewarmachines.com. Following in the footsteps of our popular Salt Chipping film, here is another ratty vehicle in 1:24th scale.

It’s Revell’s excellent kit of the VW Golf GTi Mark 1. This time, we will do a whole series on achieving this ratty look and we will do a full build and paint spilt over several videos.

Part 1 features the body shell build and initial rust coats. We cover some of the salt chipping steps featured in our previous “How To” in more detail. We also use AK Interactive’s Heavy Chipping solution. There’ll be more next time, so make sure you subscribe.
