In this video series, I'll be exploring painting figures' faces, starting off with painting the eyes on your busts and figurines.
This is Young Miniature's excellent 1/10th scale resin bust of a Lewis Gunner WW1 (Ref: 1875) and I painted it a few years ago in 2018. You can get Young Miniatures in the UK and Worldwide from Historex Agents https://www.historexagents.com.
Part 1 covers painting the eyes and I'll cover the rest of the face in future episodes.
Having experimented with longer format videos, I think it is better to show each stage in one short video of 10 to 15 minutes.
For this one, I used acrylics, as per usual, and this time I was using Lifecolors. Thanks to airbrushes.com for their long standing support and for providing the paints. Get your Lifecolor references from them.
Not being a figure "expert", this video is designed for beginners and shows all my different experiments and techniques in the realm of figure painting.
