In this video, I build a hat (aka shield) for the raspberry pi that supports Midi IN, OUT, and THRU. I also add a VFD shield and a RGB encoder. I use this together with a USB stick containing 130,000 Midi songs to create an inexhaustible Midi jukebox to use with my Roland SC-55. For more electronics, see smbaker.com
