A first look at the Rapido BART Legacy Fleet A Car Display car in HO scale, delving into all the tiny BART-specific details that have been included in the model. This is Rapido’s first rapid transit project and might just be the start of a new generation of HO scale rapid transit cars with far more details than previously available. Finally, HO scale modelers can move the HO scale commuters in speed and comfort throughout the HO scale Bay Area.
This first look will be supplemented by a detailed review for all the car types and a brief look at the BART Models (Athearn drive) and Walthers cars that came before Rapido’s car.
Note the dynamic brake grid wasn’t crooked as delivered – I damaged it while removing the carbody. Will fix it soon.
