Rajas & the Wolf Girl is an animated short film written and directed by Nidhi Reddy and produced by Liminal House.
Set in a strange and colorful circus, the film follows Raja, a lonely, bird-brained teenager who becomes unexpectedly transformed… and just as unexpectedly, falls in love with a mysterious Wolf girl.
Blending humor, awkwardness, and surreal transformation, the film explores connection, identity, and the strange ways we relate to others when we don’t quite understand ourselves.
The film combines multiple animation techniques to create its distinct visual language, including 2D rotoscope animation, motion capture, and 3D environments, texturing, and lighting.
Developed over several years, Rajas & the Wolf Girl reflects a long evolution of both story and style, culminating in a three-year production journey with a small team of collaborators.
