First is the Pere Marquette (CSX) line on a beautiful day in Chesterton, Indiana where two vintage flashing signals still using 8" lights guard the road for a west bound BNSF (empty) coal train. Next is the Michigan Central line from a distance in Porter as the 358 Wolverine heads east towards Detroit. Finally, the old Lake Shore & Southern Michigan line (more famously the New York Central) has current owner Norfolk Southern moving westward through Chesterton with a mixed freight.
