Words cannot describe how relieved I am to be done with this. There are worse levels I've went for before, but to me this is the worst level I've beaten to date, and one of the worst experiences I've had in general.
Let me rewind a bit, though. Just like Bloodlust, this level's verification (seeing it live for that matter) was very special to me. Although my hardest was only Bloodbath at that point in time, I knew that someday I would want to go for it and maybe beat it. If you know much about me, then you know I did in fact go for this more than 2 years ago; at the time it would've been a new hardest for me. I came close to connecting runs on it (53% and 62-100%), but it got very boring for me and ultimately just felt too much at the time. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, and I felt it was about time to return to it, and additionally in a race format. I raced with @skzyl and he ended up beating it with my icons, so I decided to return the favor. GG to him on beating it so quickly!
Anyway, progress initially came to me surprisingly fast. It didn't take much time at all for me to exceed the best runs I previously had, and I thought I might be able to pull through it relatively quickly. Boy, was I wrong. This level never really got all that consistent for me. Of course there were some moments of it, mainly whenever I got runs past Enlex, but not much of the level actually stayed consistent, and it made dying nearly anywhere extremely annoying to deal with. That being said, I guess I can't really be surprised by it as the level is extremely unbalanced. The difficulty is generally very on and off throughout the level, but the difficult parts in second half in particular are a total nightmare. Enlex's part is not only the hardest part of the level by far, but also just the worst part in any level I've ever played. Almost every transition in the part can screw you over in the most infuriating ways, the mini spikes that are thrown everywhere can sometimes lead to the most random deaths ever, and the 76% and 81% waves are ridiculous difficulty spikes; 81% being especially bad because the mini wave release is completely blind! Just like the last click of Platnuu! Having to deal with these parts from 0 made this incredibly miserable to sit through, and my luck really did not help with that. I died a total of 99 times in the second half (even higher than what I had on Calculator Core), and included in that are 21 deaths to Platnuu's wave, 29 deaths to Enlex's part, and 6 deaths past Enlex, including 4 at knobbelboy's part (94%, 95%, 96%, 97%). I was completely expecting I would die at 98% at that point, but to my surprise I didn't, which is a huge relief.
To my surprise as of typing this I don't have much else to say. What I will say though is this was definitely harder than Bloodlust to me, and ultimately a new 2nd hardest demon for me for the second time in a row. As far as I know, this will actually be moving above Bloodlust soon and probably even above Kappa, so I'll be celebrating when that happens. Lastly, thanks everyone in the demon list servers and elsewhere for cheering me on and helping me sit through this. You know who you are! :)
