I brought along a Radiation survey meter on a domestic flight to measure the increase of background Cosmic Radiation in relation to altitude. Cosmic Radiation increases in altitude due to less atmosphere to absorb it, the measurements obtained certainly higher than at ground level but still relatively harmless. I did seek airport securitys approval to bring the Dosimeter on the flight in case someone might have got concerned about it!
