A raccoon attempted to climb my gourd rack poles but was thwarted by the cylinder predator guards I have on each pole. Each predator guard is 2 feet long and approx. 8" wide. They are mounted so they wobble on the pole and prevent predators such as raccoons and snakes from climbing my poles and killing / eating my purple martins.
