Hadj Sameer, DJ and record digger, sets off to explore the legacy of the raï, unveiling an incredible history of this music. Born in Algeria at the end of the Second World War, raï conquered France and then the whole world in the 1990s, before disappearing from the radar with the arrival of the new millennium.

Simon Maisonobe has worked on the development and production of documentary films for television and the internet at different companies (Talweg and Quark, among others). With his media company, Grünt, Simon directs and produces various programmes, including the series Grünt Tour #1, with support from CNC-Talents, which presents the rap scenes of Morocco, Mali and Côte d'Ivoire in the form of reports, documentaries and freestyles.
